Noodle Dinner!

The Annual Election Day Noodle Dinner prepared by the New Meadows United Methodist Church will be offered again on Election Day, November 6. The church is located at the corner of Nora and Hiegho Streets, and dinner will be held in the Fellowship Hall in the Education Building. Lunch will be served from 11am to 2pm, and dinner will be served from 5pm to 7pm. Donations will be taken at the door. The menu includes beef and homemade noodles, roll, coleslaw, pie and beverages. A baked food sale will run in conjunction with the dinner. For more info call 208-347-2427.

Holiday Bazaar

The McCall Senior Citizens Center invites crafters to take part in its Annual Holiday Bazaar and Baked Goods sale on Saturday, November 10 from 9am to 4pm. To make table reservations call 208-634-5408. Rent will be $10 per table and early reservations will be assured a table. The event will feature handmade crafts and artwork, baked goods, refreshment and plenty of camaraderie. See you there!

Ski Swap Oct. 28 for Little Ski Hill

The annual Ski and Winter Sports Swap will be held Sunday, Oct. 28 at Payette Lakes Ski Club. Doors will open at noon October 28 at Payette Lakes Middle School. Admission is $2 for singles and $5 for families. Anyone who makes a $25 donation can enter the sale 30 minutes early. For more info call 208-634-5588.

Legacy Park Cleanup & BBQ

Volunteers are being sought to help with this year's cleanup of Legacy Park in downtown McCall on Saturday October 13. The cleanup will begin at 10am Oct. 13 and the barbecue will follow sponsored by the McCall Improvement Committee. The shoreline of Payette Lake near the park continues to give up derbis that was part of the sawmill that operated for decades hear the park site. Community service groups and individuals are invited to take part in cleaning up the metal and other derbis in the beach area.

Scarecrow Harvest Festival

Donors, sponsors and vendors are being sought for Cascade's Sixth Annual Scarecrow Harvest Festival scheduled for October 19-21. Tables can be rented for $25 and will include a covered space with the table. Applications can be obtained at CascadeChamber.com, or can be picked up at Bear's Knight Inn. Or you may call 208-382-4370 for more info. With two categories of Live Scarecrow contests, organizers are looking for more items to be awarded as prizes in addition to the $1,000 cash prize. Every scarecrow who enters will also receive a "goodie bag."
