The 12th biennial McCall memorial Hospital Auxiliary Home Tour, to be held Saturday July 28, will invite the public inside five elegant McCall area homes. This year's event includes homes in King's Pines Estate, Whitetail, Rio Vista on the river, and two on Payette Lake. Tickets are $25 and available at McCall Drug, Krahn's Home Furnishings, Whitetail Resort, Mountain Monkey Business, McCall Memorial Hospital Thrift Shop and McCall Memorial Hospital. The starting point of the event is at the Central Idaho Historical Museum at 1001 State St., across from the hospital. Buses will depart from the museum staging are near McCall Hospital at 10am and at 1pm delivering participants to the homes. Those who will drive themselves should gather in carpools at the staging area between 10:30am and noon to get directions.

Charlie's Garden Artists Celebration

THe annual Idaho Artists, Celebration of Charlie's Garden will be held Saturday July 28 from 5:30pm to 8pm at Charlie's Gardens, located north of McCall along Warren Wagon Rd. The party will feature artwork by Idaho artists and the setting provides a beautiful backdrop for paintings, photos, metal work and furniture. The evening will include a commemorative wine glass, wine and beer and hearty appetizers from local restaurants. Funds raised from the event support arts education and public art by the McCall Arts and Humanities Council. Tickets are available in advance at McCall Drug or Mountain Monkey Business.

4th Annual Air Band & Drag Ball

The 4th Annual Air Band and Drag Ball will be held tonight at the Alpine Playhouse. Two performances be held, at 7pm and 9pm, to accommodate everyone who wants to see the extravaganza. Doors will open at 6:30 pm and tickets are $5 at the door. Contestants are required to buy a ticket, as the money will go toward prizes. Performers must appear in both shows, and prizes will be awarded at the end of the 9pm show in the following categories: Best Solo Act, Best Group Act, and Most Believable Portrayal of the Opposite Sex. Performers are judged on lip syncing abilities, choreography, costumes and concept. For more information call 634-5594.

Concert Pianist Robyn Wells Performs Tonight!

Concert Pianist Robyn Wells will perform this evening at 6pm at the McCall Community Congregational Church at 901 First St. in McCall. In conjunction with McCall's "Second Sunday Sounds" series, the performance is free to the public and sponsored by the McCall Community Congregational Church and the McCall Music Society.

Fireworks over Lake Cascade

Tamarack Resort will celebrate the Fourth of July on Wednesday with a spectacular show over Lake Cascade starting at dusk as a gift to the community. The best viewpoints will be from The Lodge Terrace and Lake Cascade, with a show lasting 30 minutes. Bring your blankets, bug spray and sparklers!
