Hiking Book Revised
Super 8 Staff
"Exploring Magical McCall and More" now contains 6 new hikes bringing the total day
hikes in the book to 46. It also now contains updated road and trail information. You can
find it at Paul's Market, Ridley's Family Market, the McCall Drug Store and other local
merchants. The author, Susan Walters makes no profits from this enterprise.

Wet Family Fun

Even your dog can get in on the fun at the 2nd Annual Tamarack Open Water Mile Swim
on Tuesday July 3rd. Come to the Poison Creek Campground at 9:00 a.m. and register
for the events. There's an adult mile swim with divisions under and over 35. Youths
compete in a dock to dock swim and there is even an event for dogs to test their swimming
ability against other canines.

They will be for sale in fishing and boating stores in Valley County, Treasure Valley,
the Tamarack waterfront and

They include information about lake depths, shallow areas, new buoys being set
for the first time this year, common fish species, where to camp and more.

1 Free Day

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game has designated Saturday, June 9th as Free Fishing Day.
Anyone, whether a resident of Idaho or not, is allowed to enjoy the wonderful fishing opportunities
accross the state without a license. They want to give those who have never tried fishing a
chance to go for the first time for free. All other fishing regulations including size and limits remain in effect.

Football Signups

Registration for this year's McCall Optimist Football teams will be held Tuesday June 6th at the
McCall Fire and EMS station on Deinhard Lane. Signups are from 6:00 p.m. to 8 p.m.
and are open to open to youths age 9 to 11. Practice starts in August and games run into October.
