American Legion Golf Draw
Super 8 Staff
The McCall American Legion post will hold its annual golf drawings on May 12. First prize will be for an annual golf pass at McCall Golf Course, and second prize is an annual golf cart rental pass. Tickets are $5 each and proceeds will help fund Legion youth programs and donations to different charitable organizations. To order tickets call 634-6055 after 5pm.

Social Worker at Hunger Resource Center
Super 8 Staff
A local social worker is available to help at the Heartland Hunger Resource Center one Saturday per month. This is a volunteer service to assist people with finding resources, completing applications, basic counseling services and appropriate referrals. The next scheduled time will be Saturday, April 14, from 10am to noon. The Heartland Hunger Resource Center is located at 506 Pine St., McCall. For more info call 634-3037.

The Art of Intention: Create the Life You Want

A spring retreat titled "The Art of Intention: Create the Life You Want" will take place April 13-15 in Riggins at the Salmon Rapids Lodge. The retreat, sponsored by Recreate McCall, will offer workshops focusing on three tools vital to practicing the art of intention:changing mental and emotional state, clarifying intention, and taking inspired action. Happy Anniversary!

Happy Anniversary!!! McCall Super 8 is now entering/celebrating its 10th year in operation. Our first milestone was being the first national chain that opened in McCall in 1997. Next we signed up the 5,000,000th customer in the Super 8 VIP program(now replaced with the new loyalty based TripRewards program.
Next we expanded the hot tub area and added the Wild Idaho Conference Room,(seats 50).
Along the way we have received several Pride of Super 8 rankings ranking us with the best of the best with all of the Super 8's in the country.
In 2000, we received the Golden Pineapple Award from the Super 8 company. It was awarded during the big fire season that burned over 100,000 acres. We housed several of the Forest Service crews that worked dilligently to stop the wild fires. At the end of the season we had a going away party for those that stayed with over months at a time, with a BBQ picnic. The crews had commended us on our great hospitality and kindness. The word was pass on and our manager was invited to the National Super 8 convention to accept the award.
An indoor pool is being planned for next year so bring your suits.

Brundage to open South Ski Runs

Attention all skiers!
Brundage Mountain Resort will build a new chairlift this year to open up 160 acres if new terrain on the ski area's south side. The ski area will also replace the current Platter Tow with a new chairlift that will load at the base of the current Centennial lift.
